My Sister
I have just got back from visiting family back home in Kent and whilst there I took the time to photograph some of my big sister's work. She is an artist and tattooist, based in Faversham, Kent. Here are some of her canvas works...

You can find Heather Moore here.
This is my arm! Whilst on my venture back home, I had my lucky cat coloured in. This isnt a tattoo by Heather but is a custom design she did for me. She has recently got commision by Jenny Clarke to bring out her own flash work, which is brilliant!

Where did you go?
UK Elle Girl Magazine was my favourite when I was a young teenager, I have hoards of them stacked up in the junk room back at my old house. It folded in 2005, the american issue still exists online. I am absolutely positive I would still buy and read it. As I flipped back through some of the issues I still hold on it, dating back to 2001, its hard to tell its almost a decade old, aspects of it are still very current. I could be really fooled into accepting it was a 2010 issue. I used to love the fashion stories and DIY make-up pages, really beautiful imagery. I think it really played its part on my style of work I do today.

Layout
Just finished doing an initial layout with photos from the shoot for the final piece. I have a love hate relationship with Indesign. My laptop is also busting at the seams with so many photos, I really need to get a portable hardrive...

Photoshoot part 2; In the Summer House

So here are some of the other portrait photos from the shoot with Daisy . Now its for decision time. I am disliking having to choose and narrow down which ones to use for my final, and also what ones work with eachother in terms of a magazine layout.... but watch this space.

Clothing Warehouse.

... and what fun it was, a warehouse busting at the seams of second hand clothes, and 80s wedding dresses. Rails and rails of old tot, that some (me) may find the rarest hidden gems in.

We couldnt resist the itchy arm ruffles and layers of white nylon that made your hair static.

Photoshoot; In the Summer House.

So here is a litle sneak at some of the landscape photos from my shoot; In the Summer House. Named because with the sunny season fastly aproaching, it truly is the house of summer. The shoot really went well and was something that Daisy and I together knocked out pretty quick. Between running outside, everytime it stopped raining and lugging big old trunks and furniture about, we got some pretty good photos and also managed time to fit in dinner with Daisy's amazing cooking skills.

(hahahah you can find Daisy here.)

Aaaah now its for a night of editing and putting the photos into some sort or layout.

Prep Work
So tonight I went round to Poplar House, the very location where my shoot is taking place and is the home to my dear friend Daisy, who is also my model. We had a sort out and figured out the seven final outfits accompanied with the 9+ brand-themed shoes. I apologise for these photos, I really do need a mannequin.

Sheer nude nylon shirt, American Apparel.
Acid-wash bandeau, American Apparel. Lace-up platforms, Office.

Acid-wash grey t-shirt, American Apparel.
Black body, Miss Selfridge.
Cage body belt, hand made by Daisy.
Two-tone tights, Topshop. Black lace-up wedges, Topshop.

Light grey t-shirt, American Apparel.
Stars and striped shorts, Topshop. Wooden studded wedges, Topshop.

Rain deer print jumper, Second Hand.
Pale pink leotard and beige suede wedges, Topshop.

Just some snaps of the locations I may consider putting Daisy, all dressed up beautifully.

Shopping
Today I did a little shopping for my own shoot I am planning to do. Its for my work with my 3rd year Jacqueline, and the shoot is ment to be one of my final outcomes to promoto her work. Im to do a shoe featured fashion story, and suggest an example of the type of shoots that could be seen in her online magazine in the future.

I went early this morning, dragged my boyfriend to Reading to pick up some shoes. I really love these 'ballet-esque' style platforms, and am sad that my model and I dont have the same size feet.

Top left clockwise; black leather with wooden wedges, Topshop £50. pink lace-up ballet platforms, Office £90. black leather lace-up wedges, Topshop. beige suede wedges with woven straw detailing, £60.
FPI
So Ive been working with a 3rd year doing FPI, Jacqueline Mason. She has been busy these last few months developing her online magazine 9+ which launches today, so check it out. It is for shoe lovers everywhere, and for special interest of ladies with unusual larger feet. Its full of updates, discussions and gorgous fashion stories that keep you on your toes.

Whilst assisting, Ive helped with a couple of shoots. Both shoots involved lots of stop motion animation, with lots of moving the model's body parts a fraction of a centimetre between each photo, giving the result of sweet little animations that looked really effective.
